Saturday Evenings · Barrie

Kids' Night In — so you can have a night out.

Drop them off at 4. Pick them up at 9. In between, they'll get gym games, a craft to take home, a scavenger hunt with prizes, dinner, a park walk, and a movie with popcorn. You get a real night off — and they go home tired.

What It Is

Not babysitting. Not a class. A real night out.

Kids' Night In is a Saturday night designed around what kids actually want — running around in the gym, making something cool, hunting for prizes, eating pizza, and watching a movie with their friends. We've got the space, the trained staff, and a schedule packed enough that no kid gets bored.

Five hours. Six activities. Zero screen time before the movie.

Run by trained Bright Steps Academy educators in our Cundles Road space. All kids welcome — sensory-sensitive, neurodivergent, neurotypical, the energetic ones, the quiet ones. We keep groups small (15 max), the energy fun, and the schedule moving so every kid finds their favourite part of the night.

Common Questions

The stuff parents ask first.

What ages do you take? +
4 to 12 years old. That's the sweet spot for the activities we run — gym games, scavenger hunts, crafts. Younger or older edge cases — reach out and we'll figure it out.
What's actually included in the $55? +
Everything. Dinner, popcorn snack, all craft supplies (and they take the craft home), scavenger hunt prizes, the movie, and trained staff for the full 5 hours. There are no add-ons or hidden fees.
My kid is shy / energetic / sensory-sensitive. Will they be okay? +
Yes. Our staff are Bright Steps Academy educators trained to work with all kinds of kids. The space is intentionally calmer than a typical drop-in centre — warm lighting, smaller group, predictable schedule. Kids who normally have a hard time with chaotic environments tend to do well here.
What if my child has a tough night? +
We've got it. Our staff are trained to help kids settle when things get overwhelming. If a child really can't recover after 30–45 minutes, we'll call you for a quick chat — pickup is decided together, never imposed.
Can I send a packed dinner? +
Yes, especially for kids with specific dietary needs. Just label it with your child's name. The included dinner is always available too.
Where are you located? +
201 Cundles Rd E, Unit 109, Barrie, Ontario. Free parking on-site.
What if I'm late for pickup? +
Late pickup fee is $25 per 15-minute block after 9:00 PM. If you're running behind, please call as early as possible so we can plan with the kids — they handle waiting much better when they know.
Do you cancel evenings? +
Only in rare cases — extreme weather, staff illness with no replacement, or low enrollment. You'd hear from us at least 48 hours in advance with a full refund or credit toward the next evening.
